Frequently asked questions

These are a few of the more common questions we get asked by prospective clients considering using our services…

A: If you do not currently have an accountant, we would love the opportunity to talk about working with you. Our client testimonials hopefully indicates that it is worth giving us a chance to impress you.

If you currently have an accountant, you will know whether you are happy with their services. We may not prove to be a good fit for you, but we think you should at least explore the possibility, given the success we have had with other clients.

A: We have a variety of fee structures that we tailor to different situations. Some clients like the certainty of a fixed monthly fee. Others with more complicated affairs pay by the hour. Some clients pay a fixed fee for compliance services, paying for consulting time on top as required. Wherever possible we will provide estimates in advance for services we provide.

A: We never set out to be the cheapest, but we believe we offer excellent value for the services we provide. We are certainly much cheaper than most larger firms.

A: Firstly, you must feel happy that we are a good fit for your needs.

We then provide estimates for the services you require and a letter of engagement setting out services and terms for your signature.

We are obliged to carry out identity checks etc under anti money laundering regulations.

If you have an existing accountant, you will need to advise them (at an appropriate point) that you are ending their appointment and that we will be contacting them. Once that is done, we are obliged to write to them asking for professional clearance to act, and also to provide us with information for our files (eg previous accounts and tax computations etc).

A: We are not Independent Financial Advisers and are not authorised to provide such advice. However, we frequently work alongside client IFAs to come up with rounded solutions.
