Graeme Tanner-Tremaine, BSc (Econ), FCMA, CGMA

The firm’s Principal, Graeme holds a practising certificate issued by the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants. Since graduating in 1984, he has worked in public practice in a variety of chartered accountancy firms before establishing Tremaines. His main professional interests are working with clients to improve the profitability of their businesses and the efficiency of their systems and tax structures.

Graeme is a committed Christian, and actively involved in Church matters. Sailing and hill walking are favourite hobbies, but only occasionally indulged these days, thanks to the demands of young grandchildren and a house that always seems to need something doing to it!

Favourite holidays involve getting away to unspoilt areas in a campervan.

Sue Woodgate

Associate Accountant

Sue Woodgate ACA

After graduating with a degree in Business Studies, Sue qualified as a chartered accountant in 1994, having trained with Shipleys in Central London. Before joining Tremaines in 2010, Sue held a variety of financial controller and financial accountant positions for a range of companies. Sectors ranged from manufacturing, brand retailing, software and training providers.

She is responsible for overseeing total financial administration packages for key clients, often acting as surrogate financial controller for client businesses. Experienced in a wide variety of accounting packages, her attention to detail is legendary.

Away from work, Sue enjoys travel and music, and plays league table tennis.

Garry Deacons

AAT Level 4

Associate Accountant

Garry Deacons

AAT qualified, Garry is involved in many aspect of servicing clients: bookkeeping and VAT; payroll, PAYE and pension compliance; monthly management accounts; year-end accounting and corporation tax. Prepares personal tax returns for clients in his portfolio.

A very experienced Excel user, Garry regularly builds financial projection models for businesses and assists with designing bespoke reports. Familiar with many accounting software packages.

Outside of work, Garry enjoys gaming, off-road biking, following American football and keeping fit. The live music scene occupies quite a few weekends!

Karen Gould

Associate Accountant

Karen Gould ACCA

Karen qualified in 1990 and had several roles in commerce before joining Tremaines in 2015. She carries out a variety of accounting and payroll tasks, and is also a key member of the personal tax team.

Away from work, Karen enjoys travel, walking and cricket (as a supporter and follower rather than participant!) and has recently achieved a first class degree in History of Art.

Jo Evans

Jo Evans

AAT trained, Jo first worked for Tremaines in 2005. She then spent time as financial controller for an event catering company and in the accounts departments of several other businesses before rejoining Tremaines – so she has experience from both sides of the fence! Jo provides financial administration and bookkeeping support for several key clients.

When not working Jo loves doing various needlecrafts, vegetable gardening, walking the dog, travelling in their motorhome and - most of all - spending time with grandchildren.

Clare Tremaine

Company secretary and director, assistant to the Principal, Clare advises on strategic issues and looks after some office facilities management.

Away from the office, her interests include dressmaking, woodland conservation, gardening and walking – and being a very hands-on “Nana”.
